Qatar Steel’s commitment to Qatariztion and Qatari staff qualification stems from a firm conviction of its importance and role in sustainable development.
As part of this commitment, Qatar strives to develop the skills of young Qataris joining the Company and provide them with English courses under an agreement with the University of Cambridge through a special program for the new Qatari staff, under training, in Qatar Steel. According to the plan, the young Qatari staff received graduation certificates at the end of the course for having passed the course successfully. During this course, the graduates acquired skills in speaking, writing, reading and listening. The certificates were handed over to them in presence of Mr. Nadeem, Director of the Institute, and Mr. Kefah Mustafa Al Mulla, Qatar Steel Administration Division Manager, who stated that: “Qatar Steel prepares a training program for the new staff depending on the needs of the Management in Qatar Steel plant and we are planning to develop careers. In addition, we try to see the weaknesses of the new staff in order to develop their technical skills by enrolling them in training courses in the academic and scientific areas.
“This is part of the Company’s strategy and this is but one of the many experiences and ideas of Qatar Steel to attract Qatari youth and develop their skills.
