Qatar Steel participated in the Second Edition of Government Procurement & Contracting Conference and Exhibition ” Moushtarayat”. Which took place under the auspices of HH Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Interior Minister, and organized by Qatar Development Bank (QDB), in cooperation with Ministry of Finance, during 6- 8 April, 2017 at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).

Over 40 organizations from both public and private sectors in Qatar took part in the conference and the exhibition.

“Moushtarayat” Conference & exhibition aimed to promote cooperation between private and public companies in Qatar, through the extension of tendering opportunities and contracting, pave the way for greater interaction between the owners of local Small and Medium enterprises (SMEs) and leading contractors, familiarize them with the public tenders and facilitate their access to them and help them overcome common challenges they may face, in addition to follow the best practices in this field.

The program of the three day event included discussion on various important issues related to procurement and public contracting, and the ways to promote the small and medium enterprises in the country.

Through participating in “Moushtarayat” Conference & exhibition, Qatar Steel seeks to interact with local contractors and suppliers, exchange information with the owners of SMEs about fostering business partnerships, and discuss the ways to include them in its public contracts and tenders.
