In coordination with the Blood Unit at Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar Steel launched a blood donation drive at its premises in MIC.

As a rule, Qatar Steel holds a blood donation drive annually, believing that all individuals in the community should take part in this noble act, to help increase and support the stocks of blood at the hospital.

Mr. Ahmad Abdul Aziz Al-Ansari, Commercial Division Manager expressed his excitement for holding this campaign by saying:  “Participation in such humane initiatives is the duty and responsibility of all of us; as local companies, organizations and individuals. No doubt that our support of this drive every year comes within the framework of our corporate social responsibility, which is one of the vital pillars of the relationship between the company and the society. Qatar Steel always plays a positive role towards the society, through supporting all social, educational, cultural, health and sports activities held in Qatar. We do believe that Qatar Steel is an integral part of the society and it is a partner of the society in the development process.”

As usual, the blood donation drive got a good response this year from employees, who showed a true conviction in taking part in such a humane act.

The officials of Hamad Medical Corporation extended their thanks to Qatar Steel’s management for their continual support to the hospital, to ensure the increase of blood stocks and help save the lives of people who might be badly in need for blood.
