Due to its strategic importance, Qatar Steel Company, the first integrated steel company in the Arabian gulf, participated in THE BIG 5 SHOW, held from 25- 28 Nov. 2013 in Dubai. The event attracted over 2500 exhibitors from 75 countries.

The State of Qatar had a special stand in the big 5 show containing 33 Qatari companies, with 11 more this year, aiming to boost the competitive position of the exporting companies, developing and promoting Qatari exports in building and constructions sector.

The Big 5 is the largest trade show for the Construction and industry in the Middle East and North Africa.  Qatar Steel is keen to participate in this event every year, as it highlights the booming construction industry in the region, and as it is a meeting place for building and civil engineering professionals, traders, and businessmen interested in contractions sector, both international and locally.

The Big 5 provided a good opportunity for exhibitors to display their products and services, expand their business activities, meet a large number of potential customers and suppliers and discuss different issues and get updated with the constructions and building sector, which is currently witnessing an enormous growth in the Arabian Gulf, offering huge potential to steel companies in the region.

Qatar Steel was positioned as silver sponsor featuring in all Media as one of the event’s main sponsors, and as one of the leading sustainable producers of steel in the region. Qatar Steel logo and silver sponsor credits appeared on the main event signage at the Big 5 show in Dubai. Qatar Steel logo also appeared on the front cover of exhibition directory.

Qatar Steel’s Exhibition stand design was based on Qatar ancient traditional design. The exhibition stand featured decoration in Arabic traditional style with display of steel products and by-products.
