Qatar Steel Ice Hockey Team has qualified to the finals in the QS Ice Hockey Cup Tournament, organized by Qatar Winter Sports Committee, taking place concurrently with the country’s Sports Day. The tournament started last Saturday at Vilagio Complex in Doha, with the participation of 4 teams. Within the framework of the country’s Sports Day celebrations, due to be held on the 10th Feb, Qatar Steel recently signed an agreement with Qatar Winter Sports Committee for organizing QS Ice Hockey Cup Tournament, scheduled to be held from 7th -10th Feb, at Villagio in Doha. Mr. Ahmed Abdul Aziz Al-Ansari, Qatar Steel’s Commercial Division Manager, signed the agreement with Mr. Adel Al-Mutlaq, General Secretary of Qatar Winter Sports. Qatar Steel recently conducted a series of sustainability training workshops, designed to give its employees an understanding of what it means for Qatar Steel to be sustainable, and how the company intends to invest in sustainability in the coming years. Participants also learned why sustainability is important in a global and regional context and how it is being implemented at a sector level through the  Qatar Energy & Industry Sector Sustainability (QEISS) Program launched by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada, the Minister of Energy and Industry.
