Qatar Steel held a Board Meeting on 13th Feb, 2014 at its plant in Mesaieed Industrial City.

The meeting was chaired by HE Dr. Mohamed Bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry. Mr. Ali Bin Hassan Al-Muraikhi, Managing Director and General Manager welcomed HE the Chairman and the Board of Directors. The Board then discussed several important issues related to the company’s activities and future projects.

The Board members went on a tour to Qatar Steel plant, and visited the new Electric Furnace (EF-5), which was commissioned  last December. The production capacity reaches up to 1.1 million tpy.
