In our effort to protect our own employees, the society, and the environment in which they work and live, Qatar Steel celebrated Health, Safety & Environment Day at its site in Mesaieed Industrial Area on Sept 21, 2017 in line with WORLD STEEL Day. The event was focused to enhance awareness on safety in general, heat stress, firefighting techniques and demonstration, and road (traffic) safety, to name a few. The event was attended by Ministry of Interiors, Civil Defense and Red crescent, besides large number of contractors, Qatar Steel employees and top management.
In line with Qatar Steel’s commitment to integrate HSE objectives into management systems at all levels and improve HSE management practices continually, the event aimed to spread better understanding on how to prevent HSE risks and keep the environment clean and safe.
