Due to its strategic importance, Qatar Steel took part in the 14th International Construction Technology & Building Materials Exhibition, “Project Qatar”, held under the auspices of the Prime Minister and Interior Minister, HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, from 8th – 11th May, 2014, at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).
Project Qatar was opened officially by HE Sheikh Ahmed Bin Jassim Bin Mohamed Al-Thani, Minister of Economy and Trade. Attended the event were Dr. Mohamed Bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry, dignitaries from government authorities, leaders of building and construction companies locally and overseas.
“Project Qatar” attracted about 516 local and international exhibitors from 33 countries from Qatar, Arabian Gulf and different parts of the world, who showcased up-to-date technology and state-of-the-art equipment, technological inventions and services in the constructions sector. The exhibition is one of Middle East’s leading exhibitions for construction and building materials.
Mr. Ali Bin Hasan Al-Muraikhi, Qatar Steel’s Managing Director and General Manager said that our company is keen to participate in Project Qatar every year, due to its strategic importance, taking into consideration that it is a good platform for construction and building companies to meet, communicate and further consolidate their business relations. The exhibition also provides investment opportunities for participants, and offers comprehensive and suitable solutions to many problems and topics related to this important sector.

Qatar Steel’s stand showcased samples of its steel products, including rebar and wiring rod, which are used in building and constructions projects, in addition to samples of raw materials used in the manufacturing process.
