As part of its constant initiatives to extend its international network, promote its brand image, and further enhance its trade and economic relations, Qatar Steel participated in 8th World Chambers Congress, which was held from 22-25 April, 2013, at Qatar National Conventions Center.
The year’s biggest international gathering of chamber and business leaders was held under the theme “Opportunities for all”, and it was hosted by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), in partnership with the Qatar Chamber. The congress is held regularly every two years in a different region of the world, but this year it is held for the first time in the Middle East.
The World Chambers Congress brought together chambers from over 100 countries and key policy makers. The participants had the opportunity to take part in the dialogue between business leaders and the policy makers, share perspectives on new global trade challenges.
Mr. Ali Bin Hasan Al-Muraikhi, Director and General Manager of Qatar Steel declared that the World Chambers Congress is considered as an international forum for chamber leaders to share best-practice experiences, exchange insights, develop networks, address the latest business issues affecting their communities, and learn about new areas of innovation from chambers around the world.
Mr. Al-Muraikhi added that the World Chambers Congress offers opportunities for business meetings and networking between delegates, exhibitors and business leaders.
Qatar Steel also took part in the exhibition, which was held concurrently with the World Chambers Congress, showcasing samples of its high quality products. Qatar Steel’s stand at the exhibition attracted many visitors and congress delegates. Officials from the company’s Commercial Division welcomed them, briefed them about the company’s products and commercial activities and they responded to their queries.
