In appreciation of its support and sponsorship of the sixth Disaster Management Camp (DMC-6), held last April by Qatar Red Crescent (QRC) at the Marine Scout Camp in Al Khor, Qatar Steel was honored among other sponsors of the camp. The recognition ceremony was under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani.

The event was attended by representatives of government and non-government companies, which supported the camp, either logistically, technically or financially.

In his speech, the Secretary-general of Qatar Red Crescent, Mr. Saleh Bin Ali al-Mohannadi thanked all the companies and institutions which supported and sponsored the camp, and through this support, it expressed its belief in QRC’s message and role to achieve its humanitarian vision inside and outside Qatar.

Qatar Steel’s support of the QRC’s program; disaster management training camp, emerged from its conviction to support the various humanitarian activities that would serve the community and contribute to its growth and development. Such support would contribute to the success of the efforts exerted by QRC to hold this humanitarian and social program, aiming at educating and training Qatari individuals, to deal with any unexpected disasters in Qatar, God forbid.

At the end of the recognition ceremony, certificates of appreciation and mementos were distributed to all sponsors of the camp.
