Qatar Steel, the leading company in the domestic and GCC steel industry and the industrial edifice of Qatar, participated in the 40th Anniversary of the founding of the State of Qatar on 19 September 2011. The event was hosted by Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry to mark the inauguration of its commemorative book “Four Decades of Economic Development”, which highlights the economic development of the State of Qatar and its private sector. The ceremony was held under the the auspices of HE Sheikh Khalifa Bin Jassim Bin Mohamed Al-Thani, Chairman of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The ceremony was attended by VIPs, including ministers and other high profile figures. A brief documentary film highlighting the economic and industrial achievements of Qatar over the last four decades was shown during the event. Later, HE Sheikh Khalifa Bin Jassim Bin Mohamed Al-Thani inaugurated the commemorative Book.

The sponsors of the Book, including Qatar Steel being the Diamond Sponsor of the Documentary Book, were also recognized for their contribution. Mr. Ahmed Abdulaziz Al Ansari, Qatar Steel Commercial Division Manager, received the Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of Qatar Steel.
